    For more than 60 years, Henry Buchwald, MD, PhD, has been revered as a doctor, surgeon, teacher, healthcare pioneer and patient advocate. He is currently Professor Emeritus of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota.     Deb Allis is an experienced Bariatric PA, and is currently practicing in Northern Virginia after many years in the NY metropolitan area. Deb is a member of the ASMBS APP committee, and has served as a course co-director, moderator, panelist and speaker. She was instrumental in the development of the ASMBS Assessment Based Certificate (ABC) for APPs in Bariatric Surgery. Together with her colleagues, she is currently developing the ASMBS ABC for APPs in Obesity Medicine for the MBS patient, to be offered at the annual meeting in 2024.
